First Visit and follow-up sessions: I will review issues and goals, and there will be an active and passive evaluation of the body prior to the start of massage (hands-on) therapy. I may offer suggestions during or after your treatment session, including exercise guidance and/or lifestyle modifications.

Forms - Intake Forms: If you are new to me or a year has lapsed between our sessions, you will receive an email to prompt you to complete the intake form. Please fill out the form before your appointment. Together, we will discuss the information on the history form. If the intake form is not filled out or signed, completing it with me will take up some of your treatment time. Consent Forms: During your visit, we will discuss a consent form regarding my approach to assessment and treatment. This discussion/conversation allows us to ask questions and clarify concerns regarding your treatment plan.

What to Wear? Please wear or bring flexible clothing that allows you to move (shorts, loose clothing, tights, sports bra, tank tops and T-shirts) so that we can work on the thorax and abdomen or move limbs easily during treatment if needed. You will be clothed for the entire duration of your session treatment.

The Space: The clinic is on the main floor of the Artisan building across the street from Helping Hands. Usually, there is parking around the building and across the street. There is a washroom available for your use.

Arrival - The clinic has no waiting area; therefore, please arrive only 5 minutes before treatment time or be prepared to wait in your vehicle or outside the door. Please stand before the door, and I will let you in.

Billing: Upon booking, you’ll be asked to enter your credit card information online; this helps simplify payment processing. I also offer the option to send an e-transfer.

Direct Billing for Extended Health Benefits: On your intake form, you can enter the information for your insurance provider, the policyholder’s name and date of birth, and the policy number.  I may be able to process the billing for you.

Cancellation Policy: I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, and you will be charged for missed appointments. I cannot bill extended insurance providers (MSP, ICBC, Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, etc.) for your missed appointments. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice or miss their appointment will be charged a cancellation fee of $50 to the card on file. If another person books in lieu, you will not be charged.
