My Approach

My approach draws on learning with local and international teachers in the area of fascial release, visceral, neural and vascular manipulation and myofascial manual therapy. During our sessions, I incorporate an orthopaedic assessment and manual therapy of the visceral, neural, and musculoskeletal fascial systems with movement and reassessment. This type of work helps to alleviate tugs and strains within the web of connective tissue of the human body, which includes the fascial component of the viscera, nerves, blood vessels and muscles. This manual approach is precise, gentle, and deep, with minimal discomfort.

This work is helpful for people of all walks of life and abilities. I’ve worked with athletes, parents, people who have had surgeries and concussions, people with recent injuries, and those with a complex and complicated history of injuries that continue to cause tension and pain. The goal is to assist you in returning to the activities that bring you health and joy.

The treatment session is about you. My approach is holistic and integrative and I incorporate all aspects of you, your lifestyle, and your goals into your treatment plan.

Working collaboratively with you helps to provide personalized and adaptable care. Through careful listening with my hands and assessment, we can develop an evidence-informed treatment plan that evolves with your feedback and treatment response.

Please bring a pair of shorts, a tank top, or loose clothing for your appointment.

Treatments

Massage therapy is a means of communication through touch. By listening with my hands and ears, connecting, and engaging with you and your body, I strive to help you feel better, move more freely and get you back to what you enjoy doing.

“Massage therapy is intended to support the healing process and maintain, help function, and promote the health of soft tissues. In addition, massage therapy also supports the deeper structures of the body, such as organs, blood vessels, nerves, bones, fascia, joints and ligaments.” (RMTBC)
